I really want to see it in 70mm IMAX but every showing has sold out. I’d have to go to Hollywood. Same price as IMAX where I live though

I use Fandango so that bumps the price up some and it was a Dolby premium screen. And after watching Sinners I was glad I did have the better screen and sound systemJason wrote: ↑Thu Apr 24, 2025 6:05 pmA 100k salary sounds like poverty in your neck of the woods.

What is the point of fandango when you can just buy the ticket cheaper at the box office...Tiggnutz wrote: ↑Thu Apr 24, 2025 6:10 pmI use Fandango so that bumps the price up some and it was a Dolby premium screen. I did my best with the answers, trying to let it know it's tough if you don't have a publisher backing you, but if you love it, just do it.Reign in Blood wrote: ↑Thu Apr 24, 2025 9:22 amYeah, that's a bit of a pickle. But I would try to not break her heart, let her know it's basically a crapshoot. Like music, there's a million people out there that can write/play/sing and got their ideas, but virtually everything has been done. Right off you gotta have your own hook and definitely have some luck. Definitely hard out there for a pimp.DancesWithWerewolves wrote: ↑Wed Apr 23, 2025 9:10 pm I got tasked with answering questions for a high school girl about a career in writing (it's for a career class). A friend from college recommended me to her. At first I'm like "sure, though I wouldn't call my writing a career" and my friends like "well, you're the only successful writer we know", which I replied "that's sad, but okay".
Then I see the question about can I afford the life I want on this career. I fear I'm gonna break this poor girl's heart lol. I have made $1 this year so far.

Yeah I went strait for the box office with this one. I only buy online if I get concerned about seating.Jason wrote: ↑Thu Apr 24, 2025 6:27 pmWhat is the point of fandango when you can just buy the ticket cheaper at the box office...Tiggnutz wrote: ↑Thu Apr 24, 2025 6:10 pmI use Fandango so that bumps the price up some and it was a Dolby premium screen. Re: April 24, 2025 CE
Rekindling the idea of doing a Graveslinger run as a comic, probably just 3 or 4 issues this time so it's more digestible for me to handle. Of course I need to think of a small-scale story to support that, and it will be several years before they'd get out because of how long it'll take for me to draw the damn thing, but I still feel the need to do it.

Though, I couldn't use Graveslinger as a title, because there's already an indie comic with the same name that existed before my books.

Re: April 24, 2025 CE
My grades for Ryan Coogler's films (that I've seen), now that I sat on Sinners for almost a week.
Creed - 9/10
Black Panther - 8/10
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever - 7/10
Sinners - 9/10
Really not a bad run so far.

He did it the hard way and earned blank checks for all his original ideas going forward. Took two beloved IP, put a personal imprint on them, made most of the legacy fans happy and made everyone money. Natural successor in the Kubrick-Nolan line for Warner Bros.DancesWithWerewolves wrote: ↑Thu Apr 24, 2025 9:35 pm My grades for Ryan Coogler's films (that I've seen), now that I sat on Sinners for almost a week.
