i agree. shelter your kid or don't. the reason to do so or not to will vary with each generation. but let everyone raise their children how they feel is appropriate. if something is actually rude or graphic. then it becomes an issue. goosebumps is not marquis de sade. but some parents will insist that it may as well be.

yeah, if we were acting like sane rational people, we could talk this through and find a middle ground on the sports issue and the children issue. but asshole bigots are never capable of being rational, so here we are. they find the easiest brick to pull and the next easiest and so on till they bring the whole house down, because treating trans people like people is unacceptable to them. that is what comes of this.

Interjecting the Christian god back into whatever is a problem because it's supporting / forcing one view/belief in a country made up of various different views/beliefs. That's the problem.
