My mom has pneumonia in both lungs. From smoking for 60 years she has pockets in her lungs that fill up with fluids and can't be drained with a tap which is the normal way of going about it. She needs surgery to get rid of the fluid and she's already very frail. Gotta hope for the best I guess.

Definitely hoping for the best. If she's already frail, surgery always ups the ante there. Good luck to her.
