(Reviewed by Preppy) - It was OK. A woman
(Julianne Moore) is in analysis trying to get over the death of her young 5
year old son. Then, one day, she finds out that everybody keeps insisting
she HAD no son. She can't find any pictures, videos or any proof that he had
existed. She's told she was psychologically disturbed. Then she meets a man
(Dominic West) who is going through the same thing. Together they try to
find out what is going on. And who is that strange man (Linus Roache) who
keeps following them?
It's well-done, very well-acted (especially by Moore) and has the underused
Alfre Woodard who is great in a supporting role. Also there are two or three
scenes guaranteed to make you jump. But the final solution was just too
silly for me to buy...and it has an ending which was just hopeless. Still,
there was no other way it could have ended. So, for most of the running time
it was entertaining...until the end. Still a fairly good B movie.
Also is was kind of fun seeing British actors Roache and West totally
covering their accents (although West DOES slip a few times). 7/10 |
