Saint Sinner

bullet

(Reviewed by Snake-666) - Yet another below-average movie with a former great name attached.  Saint Sinner' is about a 19th century monk who unwittingly unleashes evil in the form of two demonic women who escape to the future and practice their own unique brand of havoc. Accepting his responsibility and the task that has now apparently been bestowed by God upon him Tomas (Greg Serano), the monk who unleashed the evil, follows the demons through time on a quest to stop them.

This is yet another attempt at a stylish movie which overall fails to capture the imagination or even interest of the viewer. While there are some scenes that can be quite exciting and a few non-CGI gore scenes the whole movie is lacking in it's general execution. Instead of gaining my attention for having a strong storyline it lost my interest due to it's complete lack of character development and actual storytelling. The two demon's (called 'Succubi') existence is hardly mentioned...where the hell did they come from? Some background would be nice people!! Add to that the terrible continuity problems and we have a poor movie filmed in a style familiar to the modern teen-horrors rather than the groundbreaking and violent movies that I would associate Clive Barker with (Candyman, Hellraiser, Nightbreed).

The film also suffers immensely from bad acting, poor direction and completely unbelievable scenario's. Useful dialogue and character interaction is extremely rare and the movie is left as a somewhat confusing and ultimately dull horror movie. I recommend that you only watch this movie if there is nothing else on TV. 3/10
