Variety has recently reported that Steven Spielberg and Will Smith will be teaming up to do a remake of Chan-wook Park’s ‘Oldboy’. Spielberg’s Dreamworks Pictures is currently in negotiations for the rights to the film.
Variety has news from AFM that IM Global Home Entertainment has acquired sales rights for two sequels to ‘2001 Maniacs’. Tim Sullivan will be returning to write and direct both films, and Robert Englund comes back as the murderous mayor from the first.

The plot is said to be a psychological thriller that centers on teenagers who encourage each other’s destructive behavior.
