Shock Til You Drop has final details on the upcoming special edition for Wes Craven’s 1972 film ‘Last House on the Left’. MGM has set the release for February 24th, 2009, with a retail price of $19.99.

Bloody Disgusting has reported that Herbert West may come back, in a new tv series. Transition Entertainment is shooting a pilot presentation, next April, for the possible series titled ‘Herbert West: Re-Animator The Series’. The pilot episode was written by Meredith Red and Wiliam Butler, while the director has yet to be named.

Apple.com has posted a trailer for the remake of Alfred Hitchcock’s 1927 film ‘The Lodger’. The upcoming movie is directed by David Ondaatje and stars Alfred Molina, Simon Baker, Shane West, Donal Logue, Phillip Baker Hall, and Hope Davis.

Bloody Disgusting has recently reported that Full Moon’s ‘Demonic Toys’ is getting a sequel. The film will be directed by Silvia St. Croix (’Gingerdead man’ 2 and 3), with shooting scheduled to start in two weeks, in Rome, Italy. Read on for the synopsis.

Producer Brian Yuzna is looking to produce a trio of 3-D horror films. Variety got the scoop on the upcoming movies, to be made in Indonesia. The films will come from Komodo Films, a new Jakarta based production shingle owned by Yuzna.

Variety has recently reported that Steven Spielberg and Will Smith will be teaming up to do a remake of Chan-wook Park’s ‘Oldboy’. Spielberg’s Dreamworks Pictures is currently in negotiations for the rights to the film.

Variety has news from AFM that IM Global Home Entertainment has acquired sales rights for two sequels to ‘2001 Maniacs’. Tim Sullivan will be returning to write and direct both films, and Robert Englund comes back as the murderous mayor from the first.

Variety is reporting that director Hideo Nakata (Ringu, Dark Water) has a new film, titled ‘Chatroom’ in the works. The script comes from Enda Walsh and is adapted from his own stage play. The plot is said to be a psychological thriller that centers on teenagers who encourage each other’s destructive behavior.
