Walking out of the cinema last night, having just watched the awesomeness that is Piranha 3D, I stumbled upon a poster/flyer that proclaimed that the Prince Charles Cinema was going to be home to the GoreZone International Film Festival. A few clicks of google later, and sure enough, London is going to be home to a horror film festival on October 2nd and 3rd. The schedule is in the link above, but a few highlights worth mentioning, at least for me, is the release of Uwe Boll’s completed third installment of his BloodRayne trilogy, “BloodRayne: The Third Reich”. However, for those who don’t have my unusual taste in films, there are an abundance of interesting horror films and previews, as well as some quality Q&A sessions. With two interesting and lovely hosts, a series of films from both the likes of Uwe Boll and Sean Cain to somewhat less travelled names behind a few of the more interesting titles, such as “Life Blood” starring Sophie Monk, and a full room of crazed horror fans, this is a must-attend event. With a surprise finale topping off the Sunday lineup, the weekend promises to be a real scream. Get your tickets while you can (if you’re in England, that is). It promises to be worthwhile.
