Midnight Syndicate has announced their feature production, titled ‘The Dead Matter’, has secured a July 30th release date.

The film is said to have been inspired by ‘Tales from the Crypt’ and the Hammer Films horror output. ‘The Dead Matter’ tells of a relic with occult powers that falls into the hands of a grief-stricken young woman, whose desire to reconnect with her dead brother draws her into the world of vampirism and the living dead.

‘The Dead Matter’ is co-produced by Robert Kurtzman (Wishmaster’) and Gary Jones (’Boogeyman 3′). Andrew Divoff, Jason Carter, and Tom Savini are among the stars for director Edward Douglas, who also co-wrote the film with Tony Demci.
