News Net 5, out of Ohio, has some interesting horror news. The much talked about sequel to Dee Snider’s ‘Strangeland’ (which we reported HERE)has been approved to shoot in the state using Ohio’s Film Free Tax Credit. Nehst Studios, based out of Cleveland, will be overseeing the production.

There is a catch though. The sequel, ‘Strangeland 2: Disciple’, has to begin pre-production within 90 days to take advantage of this tax credit. Snider has long talked about a new sequel to his 1998 horror film, but nothing had ever come to fruition. Now atleast he has some place to start with the production of the film.

The original ‘Strangeland’ featured Snider as a killer named Captain Howdy who lured victims, via the internet, into various traps.

It is unknown who will be directing ‘Strangeland 2′ but Dee Snider is, again, penning the film.
