I still don’t see any creativity or meaningfulness used in Frontiers. Might as well have thrown Timber Falls on that list, because it’s in the same redundant ballpark. Of course, it’s your list though. I just don’t see what there was to love about such a carbon copy of carbon copies.

Well these are just my personal preferences but I tried to choose movies that I felt had an impact on other horror films, were innovative or creative and did something different, or were memorable and stuck with you. The Skeleton Key stuck with me, I think it’s one of the best supernatural thrillers in recent years. I think the idea is really thrilling yet accomplishes that without the need to be gory, killing the physical body while the mental one continues to be tortured and the cycle continues. I guess it didn’t have the same effect on everyone though. And I was just so blown away by Frontier(s), it’s a creative and meaningful use of brutality, racism, and the desire to control and mold people. It really made me proud to be a horror fan and just all that it made me feel so overwhelmed by it and how striking it was gives it the number 1 spot.

Skeleton Key, I’d imagine Kelsey already knew she’d get a wrath of shit for that one, so I will let it slide.

And check your Frontiers hate, it fucking owns the TCM remake and at least half of the TCM wannabes! We know you hate the French, DomD, but don’t let your racism bleed so deeply on the internet.

I didn’t think Skeleton Key was terrible or anything, but seeing it so highly ranked makes my stomach queazy. And Frontiers is still a hackneyed TCM wannabe that can’t even live up to the other TCM wannabes. Not even the TCM Remake, and that says something
