This week the film is the horror-mystery film “Identity”.

The 2003 horror film is a take on Agatha Christie’s “10 Little Indians” tale IMDB summarizes the film

Strangers from all different walks of life: a limo driver escorting a movie star, parents with a young son, a cop transporting a convict, a prostitute, a young couple, and a motel manager are caught up in a nasty rainstorm, stuck at a motel in desolate Nevada. Soon they realize they may be at the motel for another reason when one by one, people start getting killed off. As tensions flare and fingers are pointed, they have to get to the bottom of why they’re there. Meanwhile in an undisclosed location, a psychiatrist is trying to prove the innocence of a man accused of murder in an eleventh hour trial. How these two through-lines are related can only be found in Identity.

The film made over 50 million at the box office in 2003, according to imdb.  It also landed a 62% fresh rate on RottenTomatoes, doing very well with critics that often bag on horror films. Rotten Tomatoes also gives the consensus that “Identity is a film that will divide audiences — the twists of its plot will either impress or exasperate you.” The great cast in Identity includes John Cusack, Ray Liotta, Amanda Peet, Alfred Molina, John C. McGinley, John Hawkes, Clea Duvall,  William Lee Scott, Pruitt Taylor Vince, Jake Busey and Rebecca De Mornay. John Cusack and Amanda Peet recently reunited in the summer blockbuster “2012″.
