It has been reported, at THR’s Heat Vision blog, that Summit Entertainment (The company behind the ‘Twilight’ franchise) is prepping a new vampire film titled ‘Vlad’, along with Brad Pitt’s production company Plan B Entertainment.
‘Vlad’ centers on Dracula as a young prince; he is known to history as Vlad the Impaler, the man behind the Dracula myth. According to the Heat Vision blog, the script for ‘Vlad’ is written by actor Charlie Hunnam while music video director Anthony Mandler is in talks to direct the project.
With this film, Summit hopes to make a “visually edgy and radical period movie that also will break new talent.”
