Variety has recently reported that the werewolf film franchise ‘The Howling’ is being relaunched with ‘The Howling: Reborn’.
The upcoming film will be the feature directorial debut for Joe Nimziki, from his own script. Shooting is expected to begin in February with an October, Halloween release for 2010. Plot details are being kept tightly under wraps but it is expected that ‘The Howling: Reborn’ will follow Joe Dante’s original 1981 film.
Steve Land and Bob Pringle, who serves as executive producers on the original, have also been tapped to exec produce ‘The Howling: Reborn.
