The Hollywood Reporter has reported that the upcoming remake of the 1985 vampire horror comedy ‘Fright Night’ has now found a writer.
DreamWorks studios has signed Marti Noxon (’Mad Men’ & ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ writer) to pen this new version of ‘Fright Night’. The remake is said to keep the comedy-horror tone of the original while modernizing the effects.
The original ‘Fright Night’ was written and directed by Tom Holland and starred Chris Sarandon, Roddy McDowall, and William Ragsdale. Ragsdale played a teenager who discovers the neighbors are vampires.
