Shock Til You Drop has reported that rapper Eminem is looking to take a stab at the horror genre with an upcoming film, titled ‘Shady Talez’.
‘Shady Talez’ is a fictional horror comic book that literally sucks it’s reader into it’s very pages. Each horror story is a wink at an original classic such as ‘Christine’, ‘Aliens’, and ‘The Lost Boys’ while Eminem puts his own dark spin on the genre playing multiple characters and introducing new stories to the new horror generation.
The film is to be written by Kevin Grevioux, co-creator of the ‘Underworld franchise and co-star of the first and third entries. ‘Shady Tales’ is due in 2011.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackHmm..I’m not sure what I think of this. Eminem shows the capacity to bring out a certain amount of darkness. I think performance wise and what the content is will depend on whether this ends up being any good, whether it’s played as cheesy and is fun or is serious and is able to compose the audience rather than being overly serious or overly cheesy without the intention. I just have a slight fear that one of the latter two might happen but I am curious to see how this comes out.
