The titles that will garner the most interest are; Drag Me To Hell (2009), Happy Birthday To Me (1981) Midnight Movie (2008), iMurders (2008), and The Stepfather (1987). Here’s a rundown of those 5 along with the list of horror titles from the rest of the month.
The new Happy Birthday to me DVD from Anchor Bay includes the original theatrical release score that was changed in the Sony DVD. Scenes that were cut from Sony’s release because of gore are also included in this release.
Drag Me to Hell is Sam Raimi’s return to horror with a theatrical gross of $42.2 million domestically and a total of $80.5 million worldwide. The film has a one disc DVD as well as a two-disc Blu-Ray release from Universal Studios. The film received good reviews on our HorrorMovieFans.com Radio Network’s Sunday Night Horror, Horroryearbook and attained an impressive rating at Rotten Tomatoes. To discuss the film with other horror fans as part of HorrorMovieFan’s Movie of them Week thread click here.
Midnight Movie is a throwback horror film and is good supernatural cheese much like Night of the Demons. The film is a good B-Movie and Kelsey Zukowski reviewed the movie for HorrorMovieFans here.
IMurders stars genre favorites Tony Todd, William Forsythe, and stud Billy Dee Williams. Also in the film is the voice of HorrorMovieFans Radio Network, Brooke Lewis, who exclaims “iMurders is a fast-paced whodunit where you will “discover not everything is what it seems, not everybody is nice, and that the good guys don’t always win.”
Just in time for the remake to hit theaters Horror Fans are treated to a DVD of the original The Stepfather. Starring Terry O’Quinn and husky Scream Queen Jill Schoelen (a personal fave) the film is a favorite for those that like atmospheric slow burners. Plus, the remake looks like shit, so buy this instead.

Gnaw (2008)
Hardware (1990) - 2 Disc Edition
