HorrorYearBook published an article panning Platinium Dunes latest move. As HorrorMovieFans reported here, Platinium Dunes has reached a deal with Paramount Pictures. It looks like this will give the “creative” team over at Platinium Dunes a chance to do something different than make money off others ideas.
The Butcherhouse Chronicles is on deck as the next film for Platinum Dunes. Stephen Susco, who scripted The American version of The Grudge is the writer of the project. The movie is being described as “The Breakfast Club in a haunted house.” Kevin Touch, who penned the article for HorrorYearBook writes “Jesus they couldn’t even come up with a description for their own film without ripping off John Hughes.” Touch’s take is correct, even Susco got noticed by piggybacking on someone else’s work with The Grudge.
Touch continues with mocking the remake factory
The secret to Platinum Dunes’ success:
1. Steal someone else’s idea
2. “Re-imagine” it for cheap
3. ???
4. Profit

Oh and “Breakfast Club in a haunted house” story sounds retarded. “Yeah, my old man grabbed and said ‘Yo smoke up, Johnny’!” *cue cupboards opening and closing by themselves*
