Variety has reported that Twisted Pictures is taking over the ‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre’ film franchise.
The rights to the Texas Chainsaw franchise, Bob Kuhn and Kim Henkel (the latter of which co-wrote the original film with Tobe Hooper) had been made with Platinum Dunes on a per-pic basis, which led to the recent remake and prequel. The deal made with Twisted Pictures is for multiple films according to Variety’s sources.
Carl Mazzocone, Mark Burg, and Oren Koules will produce the first feature under the new deal, which is planned as a way to contemporize the storyline for a 3D film. Stephen Susco is onboard to write the upcoming film.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackTwisted Pictures can produce fast, and usually watchable flicks. This pleases me. If I remember right, Death Sentence was one of their flicks. I liked that a lot.
A 3D chainsaw sounds cool in concept, but I know it’ll be shitty.
Eww, 3D Chainsaw just sounds all kinds of awful.
