NightmareOnElmStreetMovie has reported Connie Britton has joined cast of Platinum Dune’s Nightmare On Elm Street remake as Nancy’s Mom.

The 42-year-old actress, that HorrorYearBook has declared a “milf” (agreed),  is best known for her roles on TV including currently starring on “Friday Night Lights”. Britton is also known for her roles on “24″, “The West Wing” and the Michael J. Fox sitcom “Spin City”. The actress was later written out of Spin City when execs decided to bring Heather Locklear on board.

In the original Nightmare on Elm Street Nancy’s mom became an alcoholic after her and other scorned Elm Street parents burned Freddy Krueger alive.

Samuel Bayer’s Nightmare on Elm Street (2010)  is currently filming and is tentatively set for release April 16th, 2010.
