The LA Times has recently reported that The CW has picked up ‘Vampire Diaries’ as it’s first series for the upcoming fall lineup.
The television show is an adaptation of a series of young adult novels written by L.J. Smith. The series centers on a young woman who is courted by two vampire brothers, who are at war over her soul and the souls of everyone near to her.
The pilot episode was co-written by Kevin Williamson (’Scream’, ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’, ‘The Faculty’) and Julie Plec (’Kyle XY’), with a cast that includes Nina Dobrey, Stephen R. McQueen, Ian Somerhalder, Zach Roenig and Kayla Ewell.

Thanks Mike.
This could be amazing. I love the books, especially the 2nd one. But they are changing so many things and from the looks of it, I am not sure the show is going to be as good as the books. I’m just hoping I’m wrong.
