Shocktillyoudrop.com has reported, that the cheesy cult classic Stephen Dorff starrer, The Gate, is next in line to be remade.  Not much is known, as Shock is currently having page-load issues, but I felt the need to spread the warning.  What I do know, is that it is planned for 3-D.

Think we’ll have nu-metal as the new Killer Dwarves?  Stop Motion will obviously be replaced by CGI, and how much we wanna bet that the metal music (*cough* numetal *cough*) played backwards is through fucking Guitar Hero rather than an actual record player?  The suspense is killing me.

One can only hope that this could be a labor of love, but somehow I doubt it.

Alex Winter, of the Bill & Ted films is the one tackling the remake.  Interesting as it might turn out to be a labor of love.
