Shock Til You Drop is reporting that director Adam Marcus (’Jason Goes to Hell’, ‘Conspiracy’) is set to helm a remake of the 1943 classic ‘I Walked with a Zombie’. Twisted Pictures will be helping to produce the upcoming film.
The original film, directed by Jacques Tournieur, is about a young Canadian nurse named Betsy who comes to the West Indies to care for Jessica, the wife of a plantation manager, who seems to be suffering from some sort of mental paralysis as a result of fever. Betsy is determined to cure Jessica even if she needs to use voodoo.
Time will tell how faithful, Marcus is to the original film.
