Variety has recently reported that James L Nederlander, president, producer, and theater owner of Nederland Org, has bought the rights to produce a musical theater version of Michael Jackson’s 1982 music video ‘Thriller’.

The score will consist of songs from Jackson’s 1982 album ‘Thriller’ as well as from his 1979 LP ‘Off the Wall’. ‘Thriller the Musical’ will be based on the 1982 ‘Thriller’ video, about a wholesome young couple whose date goes awry when one of them turns into a werewolf.

It is still in the very early stages as there is no word, yet, on who will be involved in the u[coming project, nor when production is set to begin.
