Here’s reason for some horror fans to rejoice. Collider recently learned that Platinum Dunes has given up on the ‘Rosemary’s Baby’ remake.
Producer Brad Fuller had this to say.
We went down that road and we even talked to the best writers in town and it feels like it might not be do-able. We couldn’t come up with something where it felt like it was relevant and we could add something to it other than what it was so we’re not going to do that film.
Shock Til You Drop states that the ‘Near Dark’ remake is dead as well.

Exactly. Even if they did do a remake and people did watch it. Everyone will just compare it to the first one and complain that it was a waste of they’re money. Which is stupid cuz they chose to see it in the first place. And another thing you shouldnt title this article as Rosemary’s Baby is Dead cuz yeah, you’ll get the readers attention, but at the same time piss them off cuz you made them think the movie was going to be cut off the market or something. Be a better writer than that.
