Fangoria has news on an upcoming indie slasher. The film is titled ‘The Id Proxy’ and will be the debut feature of writer/director Matthew C. Dumond. Read on for the synopsis.
Will is a bordering psychotic who goes over the edge and embarks on a delusion-fueled murder spree. The principal victims are a group of campers who have the bad luck to wind up in his path. They’re killed off one by one in various horrifying ways as Will delves further into the evils hidden deep within his subconscious. The film illustrates the terrifying path of a truly deranged mind gone astray, focusing on a man who has lost all perception of reality and the division between right and wrong, left only to be a slave to the primal impulses and demands of the rage inside him.
‘The Id Proxy’ stars Rick Dumont (as Will), Rebecca Howland, Jim Baker, Edward Payson, Eric Sansouci, Jack Ordway, Evalena Marie, and Lauralee Ellis. It is expected to score a small theatrical run, early next year, then out on the festival circuit.
