Rating: 4 Out Of 10 The first film of the eight “Ghosthouse Underground” titles I chose to watch is “Dark Floors: The Lordi Motion Picture,” now being a fan of the Finnish band called “Lordi” I was intrigued to find out that they decided to make a movie where their stage costumes were going to be used as monsters in a Horror film. The story begins with a little girl who has Autisum, her dad wants to give her the best treatment but the Doctors have done everything to figure out her medical problem. (I think she wants a red crayon.) With everything given to him the Father decides to remove his Daughter from the Hospital, pushing her to the exit; given by the elevator, she begins screaming for her red crayon while the nurse begins to tell the Father that she needs to stay in the Hospital, due to the fact they are using new drugs on her to diagnosis her symptoms better. Steping (Or rolling) into the elevator the daugter begins to freak out as it stops and acts funny. Then once back to normal the elevator opens to floor 6 where there isn’t nobody to be found on the floor and in the whole Hospital. We are then introduced to our main characters for the film: The Father and Daughter,The Nurse, our Policeman with patient Tobias and another patient, who is leaving for home.  Soon on the 6th floor shadows manifest, pictures of faces are fount, voices and a woman with no eyes slamming into a wall. Trying to get off the floor and out of the building, crazy Tobais is saying one-liners that could help the others trapped understand more but he’s CRAZY TOBIAS, all the while Sarah is drawing scenes of death and more, while chasing noises and sounds. We are then introduced to our first monster of “Lordi” The Scream Queen (Awa) and of course the rest of the band throughout the film. Soon secerts start to become uncovered as time is frozen in a parallel universe, while characters start to get slaughter with Sarah as the reason for the occurance. Overall it was rather low on a scare scale and somewhat pointless, the characters were dead-pan and with the movie titled “The Lordi Motion Picture” you would expect to see more ‘Lordi’ then what was shown. (Let’s put it this way, you see them more in the Special Features section than in the movie itself) The scenes in which ‘Lordi’ is in was rather unique and had different settings for each persona, (Look-up Lordi and you can guess.) The Gore was used sparingly, with acceptable CGI but left you wanting more, such as seeing more ‘Lordi’ without them being shown for 2-3 minutes trying to kill someone and then their segment was over with a quick demise to each member. With all this being said i still enjoyed the film for what it was, which was a Father caring for his ill Daughter figuring what is best to do as a parent, with MONSTERS!!! There is nothing new that hasn’t been offered before, (such as the ending) but if you take a few aspects away it’s an entertaining film…with a message…MONSTERS are scared of Autistic children!!!
