Producer Brian Yuzna is looking to produce a trio of 3-D horror films. Variety got the scoop on the upcoming movies, to be made in Indonesia. The films will come from Komodo Films, a new Jakarta based production shingle owned by Yuzna.
The first of these 3D films is ‘Amphibious’, a thriller about a giant sea scorpion, which will be directed by Yuzna from a script by John Penney. The picture will be co-produced by Infinite Frameworks of Singapore. Shooting is slated to begin in March on Batam Island
Next to come will be ‘Necronauts’. This will be helmed by ‘Lawnmower Man’ director Bret Leonard and written by novelist Terry Bisson. It is described as a journey into the realm of death.
The third project, ‘Cold Blooded’, will be helmed by Richard Stanley. It is a survival story, penned by Rob Wiser, about vacationing Americans who become stranded on an island where they must combat man-eating Komodo Dragons.
