They did need to cut down on the flashbacks and the story did seem a little off centered at times. I did like the victims going through the torture devices and learning that they were monstrous themselves for preying on others for the sake of their own lives. This is really what jigsaw wanted them to see that they aren't deserving of life. The moment where they realize this they grasp his mindset. I do think they really have to try to stop with the flashbacks and move on from jigsaw and find a way to further his goals and mindsets rather than memories of him.
