I think it would have made a brilliant short film since the last 11 minutes or so was the only important part of the film. I agree that the characters were very much lacking. Funny Games is an uncomfortable film and I think it does a lot of things right, but I know a lot of people who don't care for it much and those who love it. I just felt that the strangers didn't have much to offer once you got past the initial creepiness of the killers. Myers- Well I am glad you enjoyed it more than I did. I saw it in the big screen, and I thought it was amazing. The Cat and Mouse game got a little old, Liv Tyler's action got a little rough towards the end, but the ending itself was pure gold to me. Not many movies have that type of ending, none come to mind in fact. I just didn't think there was enough going on during this point to keep your interest. What we were seeing was nothing new and there was just added music to make up for it. I just felt that the film was very unoriginal and didn't bring much to the table of its' own. I even think 'Them' was flawed, but it is a much superior film than this.
