Shocktilyoydrop has recently reported that a director has been chosen for the newest adaptation of a Jack Ketchum novel. The website states that Eric Red (writer of ‘The Hitcher’ and ‘Near Dark’) anounced, during Screamfest in Hollywood, that he is set to direct the film version of ‘Off Season’. Here’s what the director had to say of the upcoming film.
I think it’s the classical nature of the story that makes [Off Season] work. A great horror movie is a group of people trapped in an isolated setting against a monster. The difference with this is that it’s going to be 100% convincing and hardcore and extreme. You couldn’t have made the film ten years ago, but now I think you can take this as far as you can go. But we’re going to stay very true to the book: Low-key, small, very shocking.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackI’m definately psyched. Premise is cool, and I enjoyed Red’s scripts thus far, even Bad Moon.
