To any Horror fan they know Clive Barker’s work, and once you sit down to watch either a film he directed or one based on his stories, your in for a ride. He never fails to delight. Meatnight Meat Train delievers one hell of a punch, and Horror fans you won’t be dissapointed. Like so much of his work, this one hits all the right notes. The story revolves around Leon, a Photographer who captures the city. His girlfriend Maya gets him involved with a big time publisher, who thinks Leon’s shots aren’t to great and wants more emotion and human weakness to show more. One night he follows a group of thugs into the subway, where they gang up on this model. (Which we find out later) Soon after he saves the girl she get’s on the subway train and is soon on the missing persons section in the newspaper the next day. After a run-in with the police, leon tells his side of the story which doesn’t help out much. As he starts to take more pictures he soon follows this brute fellow, who wears a dress suit and carrys a satchel. As Leon follows this mysterious fellow, he snaps away revealing more horrible secerts, with the fellow and himself. The death toll rises, leaving Leon in a state of bewilderment while Maya is trying her best to keep him away from night-shooting. Soon everyone is drawn to this strange fellow, they follow him to work, break into his apartment, or step foot on the dreaded subway car. All leading to one hell of a ending. This was just a great watch, i was amazed by the onslaught of brutality and insane Gore kills. There was quite a few scenes where CGI Blood and Gore was added, but it didn’t take anything away from the film. Some of the deaths scene were just amazing, (Not giving away death scenes) The force of Vinnie Jones, (Who played the strange fellow) was brutal, he did an excellent job only to have 1 word of dialouge. There is nothing but good praise for this film, If you love Horror and wanna see a bizzare film, THIS IS IT!!! -Havok 2000
