Fangoria has news on an interesting indie flick titled ‘Clown’, from director Tate Steinsiek. The cast includes Peter Greene (as the title character, pictured), Norman Reedus, Paul Sampson, and Rony Cutrone. The film is expected to premiere on October 16th, at Screamfest. Steinsiek had this to say on his project.

It’s a completely off-the-wall story set in the late 1800s, about a young boy kidnapped by two random torturous circus clowns, and held captive for a number of days. The abuse he endures over the course of this drives him to escape and, rather than run, attack the clowns in a remorseless revenge.

We jump 34 years and find a lone travelever, Clown, walking down a dirty road, where he encounters a traveling freak show and it’s ringleader Lucien. Clown is offered union and joins the group, and he and his new “family” travel into the township of Fable. They encounter a Puritan mob convinced they are devils-heretics-and that’s when things get crazy. Lots of insane freaks, Uni the One Eyed Girl, Otis the Frog Boy, Bearded Lady-the whole gang.
