Well, Call me Ishmael

For me the film has potential to be exceptionally impressive with the white whale being a serious challenge for any fx company. But let's be honest, Moby Dick is not about having an awesome white whale. Moby Dick is about Ahab and his obsession with the white whale leading him ever onward towards the destruction of himself and his crew, with the narrator providing a reason for the story being told as much as anything else. So this film will be very much hinged upon who they take to play Captain Ahab, and to some degree Ishmael and Queequeg (should he be in the film. :P ) since that was what made the old film.

I'm still willing to watch it, and I'd be excited to see the casting of this.
