Patrick Lussier, director of the upcoming ‘My Bloody Valentine 3-D, is talking of the possibility of a sequel for his film, according to Bloody Good Horror. The remake, starring Jamie King, Jensen Ackles, and Tom Atkins, is not set for release until January 16 2009, so time will tell if this happens, but Lussier seems optimistic. Read on for what the director had to say.
I think I’d be lieing if I said Todd [Farmer] and I haven’t had several conversations about it. You know one of the things that we’ve really enjoyed in this process was the fact that we had such a great cast… or the fact that the characters that survive and how they survive at the end of the story, are incredibly intriguing. There is such an amazingly iconic villain [also]/ All those things entice both Todd and I tremendously. And if we were to be so lucky, knock on wood, by all means we would love to be considered for that.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackNo! the original wasn’t even very good. The remake could improve upon this but I am sure that It won’t. The 3D aspect makes me thing it is just trying to use a marketing ploy to distract from the lack of quality. Also it looks like they want it to be perceived with depth with the “intriguing characters” and iconic killer, would take away from the distraction of the 3d thing they got going on. Hmm…there seem to be a lot of attempted distractions going on, they must be desperate to market what isn’t there.
