Variety recently reported that we can expect a sequel to Rogue Pictures’ home-invasion horror film ‘The Strangers’. Bryan Bertino is set to write the screenplay, but it is uncertain if he will return as director for the film. Vertigo Entertainment and Mandate Pictures will be reteaming to produce the new ‘Strangers’, which is expected to start production early next year. Rogue Pictures reportedly hopes to turn this title into a ‘Saw’-like franchise.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackI find it a bit odd to have a sequel being pushed for before they’ve even seen what happens with the original. It’s barely hit cinemas here in the UK.
I haven’t even seen the first one yet but hear it is a lesser “Them”, which was a good (at the end anyway) but definately flawed film itself. So a sequel to a lesser film doesn’t show a lot of promise for me.
