I’m with you there on the Kurt Russell, hot chicks and fast cars factor. Problem is though I remember only TWO hot chicks and seeing Kurt Russell & fast cars for a total of hmmm… 20 minutes out of 2 hours!! Blech.

lol, yeah. I agree with you though, for the most part this is largely a love it or hate it flick like the Blair Witch Project. I think my affection for QT, Kurt Russell, some hot chicks and fast cars may be keeping me firmly in the middle.

haha I knew as soon as I typed “nobody is really sitting in the middle on it” somebody would come along and say they’re sitting in the middle with it. Ah wells - I thought it completely sucked balls as you can see.

I’m actually in the middle with this flick. It didn’t live up to my expectations and I thought it could be better, but I liked some things and walked away feeling it was alright.

Shmeh - I’ve had so many arguments with well - only a couple of fans (world total? jk) of this movie and it’s unfortunately either a love or hate film - nobody is really sitting in the middle on it.

Dude you’re so right about Island of the Alive. Nothing beats when one of the “it’s alive” babies attacks the helicopter pilot which automatically prompts the helicopter to explode! haha

I’m one of those people who hates everything Tarantino does, but I avoided this not only for that, but because I’ve heard nothing good about it. You just confirmed everything I’ve heard to date about it and that just gives me more reason to avoid it.

Also, the It’s Alvie! series is pure genius. My favorite is part 3 for it’s extreme cheesiness.
