The guys over at Arrowinthehead.com have come across a new independent horror film titled ‘Spike’. The film was written and directed by Robert Beaucage and stars Sarah Livingston Evans, Jared Edwards, Anna-Marie Wayne, Nancy P. Corbo, and Edward Gusts. Read on for the synopsis.

Love bends wills, endures, and kills. A young woman finds herself trapped in a nightmarish fairy tale come true, and must rescue her friends from a strange creature who idolizes her and will have her at any cost. “There is always some madness in love….”

I’m a bit of a sucker for horror films with a fairy tale feel to them, so this one definitely sounds promising. Unfortunately there is no release date set for the U.S. but hopefully that will change soon. Till then.. you can keep updated on the project by heading over to the official site.
