JoBlo reported this week an enthusiastic Tara Reid fan has started a petition encouraging she be cast in the upcoming Platinum Dunes remake of Nightmare on Elm Street. Seriously. The actress’ star has been fading as she has received more headlines for nip slips and her friendship with Paris Hilton than her movie roles in recent years. Reid has had a string of duds including Alone in the Dark, My Boss’ Daughter and The Crow: Wicked Prayer.
The petition, which can be found HERE, reads
“We feel young Hollywood actress Tara Reid deserves a role in the upcoming Platinum Dunes remake of A Nightmare On Elm Street. She is a very talented and intelligent actor, we feel a a major role, in a major film will help revive her acting career. We feel she would be a truly great addition to the cast. Please truly consider her for a part, and check out how many people would love to see her in you’re film.”
Usually I’d say she’d make perfect fodder as long as she got naked, though after seeing that nip slip from a few years ago I am not so sure I want to see her naked again. Her voice isn’t easy on the ears though I guess she is easy enough on the eyes. Either way, this is bizarre.

I really don’t mind her being in the remake, as a supporting character. As a lead, I would bitch and complain, but my voice would be futile, lol. She looks good in that airbrushed picture though.
