After the success of ‘The Strangers’, Overture Films (Righteous Kill) is looking to make their own home invasion movie. The Hollywood Reporter reports that the company has recently acquired a pitch from Karl Gajdusek titled ‘Taken’, with veteran producer Irwin Winkler onboard to produce.
The project is a dramatic thriller in which a married couple that has been coping with infidelity and other adversity heals its wounds after a home invasion; it is described as containing elements of ‘Panic Room’ and ‘Unfaithful’.
