Variety has reported that producer Nick Wechsler has acquired screen rights to ‘Throttle’, a 60 page novella written by father-son authors Stephen King and Joe Hill. The story centers around father-son members of a motorcycle gang that’s chased through the desert by and 18 wheel tanker truck.

Wechsler had this to say on the project

It has elements of iconic films like ‘Duel’ and ‘Breakdown’ but with a horror element that I want to push.”

Look for the novella to be published in 2009 as part of an anthology, dedicated to Richard Matheson, titled ‘He is Legend’. This will be the first literary collaboration between King and his son.
