Tim Sullivan is a cool guy and an absolute horror fan like us. He kicked ass with his film “2001 Maniacs” and is currently working on the sequel.Tim also brought us the awesome film “Driftwood” starring Diamond Dallas Page as a sadistic captain in an attitude adjustment camp for troubled youths. Here is what Tim had to say to my ten questions.

1. Excluding the films that you have worked on,what is your favorite horror movie and why?
THE EXORCIST- because it conveys a very major truth in life– Sometimes it takes getting fucked by the Devil to get your down on your knees praying to God- Which is a very apt metaphor for the current state of America and our leader, the Devil himself if ever Satan inhabited a man on Earth.
2. Who is your favorite scream queen?
Jamie Lee Curtis- Cuz I grew up on her films.
3. What is the strangest thing that someone has asked you to autograph?
A DVD of STAR TREK 2: WRATH OF KHAN- They thought I was the dude that played Kirk’s son!
4. If you could make a horror movie with any actor/actress, who would it be and why?
I already did- Robert Englund. But if I could do another- I would have to first dig up his grave– Vincent Price. Because for my money- he best embodies that sardonic wit I like to inject in my horror flicks. (Just watch HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL and you will see what I mena.)
5. What was the first horror movie that you ever watched?
Bela Lugosi in DRACULA on Creature Features– I even know the damn date, December 6th, 1969
6. What director would you absolutely love to work with and why?
John Landis (and luckily I have) becuase more than any other filmmaker, his films have inspired me the most in terms of the type of genre blending films I aspire to create.
7. What is your favorite band and favorite song?
My favorite band is a tie between KISS and The Doors with KISS representing my guts and the Doors representing my soul. neither recorded my all time favorite song however– That would be WICKED GAME by Chris Isaak.
8. What is your favorite non-horror movie?
BEN-HUR
9. When you’re not working, what do you do for fun?
Download my CD collection onto Itunes then go on long, late night drives along the Pacific Coast Highway blasting those songs at loud decibels.
10. Are you working on any new projects that you would like to tell us about?
The same project I’ve been working on for the last 2 years– the sequel to 2001 MANIACS. If my producers are reading this- Come on, guys! Let’s make the fucking thing already!
