Green was inspired to make the film in order to counteract the recent glut of films he felt took the fun out of mass murder and impalement. Also Twisted Sister. He was inspired by Twisted Sister.

I am glad that Green is planning to add more to the character of victor crowley, as I thought he was a weaker element of the movie.
I do have a ton of respect for Adam Green, I definitely love his passion and his willingless to try to make such diverse films.
