uwe-boll.jpgUwe Boll’s newest film isn’t getting theatrical play at most theaters. This means the film isn’t getting the wide release of 1500+ theaters as originally thought. The plans now are that “Postal” will be shown in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Denver and Tucson. “Theatrical distributors are boycotting ‘Postal’ because of its political content,” Boll said on Thursday.

On Friday he offered a bit more insight.“To all of you writing now about me and the fact that POSTAL is not getting screens. Its okay. Its fun kicking a guy non-stop who is on the ground. You are all not getting it that i’m the guy who made it against the big hollywood system and you are all only busy to destroy me and finish me upand then you YOU WON WHAT? The attention of the studios, Michael Bay .. ?” Boll said. He then went on to say why his film was pulled “You don’t want to see that Bush used the SEPTEMBER 11th attacks to start a war against a country what had nothing to do with Bin Laden etc. But this all doesnt matter because you are all busy to THINK that INDIANA JONES or NARNIA are important movies … but in real they are empty shells of an industry what wants to make money and what wants to keep you looking “escape movies” with nothing in it. In between they are putting some CONTROVERSIAL movies to show that they can do also IMPORTANT movies,” Boll said. Boll’s entire statement can be found here.

The controversial director will be appearing on HorrorMovieFans.com Radio this Sunday at 10pm EST / 7pm PST.
