‘The Gate: 20 Years Later’ has been announced. The film will be directed by Randall William Cook, a long time visual effects guru. No release date, casting, or other details have been announced, although the film was originally rumored to be shot in 3-D.
The Gate was released in 1987, starring a young Stephen Dorff. The plot centered around three kids spending a weekend at home when their parents go on vacation. They accidentally open a portal to another universe in their backyard, allowing tiny demons to run wild.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackThe original was okay — I probably would had liked it more if I saw it when I was younger.
Hopefully it’s not in 3D — 3D will get old if all these remakes end up in 3D.
I’m pretty sure Stephen Dorff is still available ;p
