If you ever went to a video store in the 80’s, you most certainly recall the Faces of Death series and the controversy that swirled around them. Were they fake or real? Should this sort of thing even be viewed?
Dread Central is reporting that the original 1978 film that spawned many sequels and even more imitations is finally coming to DVD. The release is expected to include featurettes and a commentary track, so hopefully, many questions will finally be answered about these movies.
For those that are not familiar, Faces of Death was a compilation of gruesome deaths, animal killings, etc. assembled on video. During their heyday, there was much debate on what was real and what was staged for the cameras.
