Oh Christ. First an odd ball mini-series now an odd ball documentary. Why can't you fucks just watch regular movies!?
I don't have a problem if you count it.
I thought it was a movie when I bought it

Who would think I'd improve on my Halloween Challenge thanks to Ceri's granny. She loves Hammer Horror films. Very cool lady.

Halloween ended on a bit of a lack of horror due to flights and jetlag, which was a bit gay... Having said that, I did manage more films this time than last time. Helped that Ceri's brother and grandmother both got me through a fair few. 15-26 were all with them in the house.
Seb's Grand Total (Because it is already 7AM on November the 1st)
13 New Horror Films
13 Previously Watched Horror Films
Best New Film: Sheitan (Satan) : A lower budget French Horror film that was as bizarre and awkward as possible, with a tour de force performance by Vincent Cassell as the worlds creepiest French farmer.
Best Old Film: Red Dragon : I always like this film, and I hadn't seen it for a couple of years, which made it a bit more fun.
Worst New film: Possessed by the Night : Some shitty B movie that had the markings of softcore porn with an alien fetus in a jar... Just wasn't good.
Worst Old Film: Hostel : Gez wanted to watch this, and I was ok with that. But it isn't good. It just isn't. From the RoadTrip style opening to the eyeball leaking milk through the optical nerve, I just don't like this.
Best Performance by an Actor in a New Film: Ernst Hugo Järegård (Riget) as a cynical, Danish Hating doctor who is forced to be in Denmark, in a Hospital full of nutters and ghosts, Ernst Hugo Järegård was superb. His cynical front and soothing voice combined for a top notch performance.
Best Performance by an Actor in an Old Film: Billy Connolly (Fido) : For a non-speaking part, Billy took this role and made it into one of the most charismatic and comical Zombies on screen, and he made me laugh repeatedly throughout the film. Top Notch.
Best Director of a New Film: George A. Romero (Diary of the Dead) Although it was a close one between 30 Days of Night Director David Slade, I gave it to Romero for some really chilling shots in live action that I thought impressed, especially the dispatching of our friendly resident farmer, and the cutting in half of one zombie's face. Both looked superbly real.
Best Director of an Old Film: Clive Barker (Hellraiser) Hellraiser continues to be a top-notch film and a lot of it is doubtless due to Clive's vision and his portrayal of everything in the film, from the return of Uncle Frank to the brief moments of the Engineer chasing after Kirsty, and of course Pinhead being absolutely top notch makes this a great film.
Funniest New Film: Hack! : total piss-take of everything that is the horror genre, its selfconcious deconstruction of itself and of the genre was actually really good. Most enjoyable, even if it wasn't superbly original.
Funniest Old Film: Fido: Already mentioned for Best Performance, this was possibly the film that I most enjoyed watching. It's funny, somewhat touching, and has a whole host of great performances by a really good cast.
And that is the end of my Horror Movie Challenge. Mission Accomplished.

ah, fair enough. Just seemed so odd to split up such a great pair of films with that one, which is probably fine, but is a bit random.

Other than the inclusion of 'Don't go in the House', which I can't comment on because I haven't seen, that is a fine list. The two actors you chose gave two of my all-time favorite performances.

You're not including New Nightmare because you're under the delusion that it's a remake, right? Outside of the resurrection, what's your beef with Part 4?
