70's English, saucy, Sexploitation meets pseudo-Giallo 'kill the pretty girls' styling in the form of Mary Millington vehicle"The Playbirds".
It's an overly long and padded, sometimes technically poor, generally flatly acted hodge-podge Exploitation flick and cheeky “Confessions of a Window Cleaner” type frivolity.
But it still manages to overcome most of it’s problems to be at the very least an enjoyable ‘see it and hear it to believe it’ slice of politically incorrect entertainment with a wonderful back-history, a fabulously mixed cast and of course Mary Millington is a very pleasant on the senses way to spend 90 minutes.
And it has to be said that only in an English psycho killer skin flick could the killer make his escape…on a bicycle!
Quite frankly the Internet's most comprehensive review:

Resident Evil: Extinction B-
Pretty decent. Better than the other two, imo, and moments here actually felt like the games (the exploring isolation, finding diary's notes that progress or resolves things, the low "fixed" camera angles, etc), and I did dig the homage to the Mad Max movies. However, some of the action was like it was edited with a weedwacker, CGI was garbage (some of the worst I've seen for a major movie since...Escape From LA, lol), and I hated how now Alice is essentially a superhero, making situations awefully conveniant to get out of.

"Pathfinder" - extended cut.
Not bad at all.
The Vikings were a bit OTT in the barbarity stakes but it looked great and the bloodletting was heavy duty with some very nasty decapitations.
A bit formula and stodgy at times, but better than the critical rep would have you think, at least in this version.
"Ants"
Classic era American TV horror flick about annoyed ants with toxic bites (thanks of course to those beastly humans messing with pesticides) attacking a hotel full of stock disaster movie characters (the hunk, the free love hitcher, the scheming business man, his eager secretary, the old woman in a wheelchair, her pretty daughter and the rough and ready hero who people won't listen to. OH! And 'token Black guy').
It's all done in fun and the scenes where the actors let real ants crawl literally all over them are suitably squirm enducing. Some of the Fx are bad though. look out for obvious 'sweet stuff' wet patches on the sandy ground to lure the ants, look out for black blobs being pulled up the wall to make the ants look more numerous and look out for black smudges on the picture to represent hordes of ants aproaching the hotel.
A good cast (with a late in the day appearence by the always welcome Brian Dennehy) of B movie sorts and faded stars, in this case Myrna Loy, do what is required but the biggest problem is the basic idea.
Poison bites or not all you would have to do is piggyback the old dear and everyone simply run out of the door!
As it is no one goes anywhere despite the fact that ants can't bite through soles of shoes and when rescue attempts are used something either handily stops them being used again (like the helicopter blowing the ants everywhere in a great scene that sees the nosy bystanders get coated in the biting buggers) or as in the case of a bulldozer that rescue one person...there is no real reason given for not rescuing the rest!!
Silly, plot hole laden, and cheesy but still entertaining in that nostalgic 70's TV way and the scenes of real ants crawling all over the actors make it all worthwhile.

A bit formula? I thought it was almost straight formula. I'm not knockin it though, I've seen worse.

Yeah, a fairly good one, but not a great one.
