It is not the president's job to "run the country", and the fact that liberals think it is, is troubling.
Is this suppose to be surprising since you've been ragging on the guy since before he was sworn into office? To say you're not exactly the most objective person to speak about the guy would be an extreme understatement. And speaking of regurgitating lines, the "teleprompter"? Really? Time to get some new material, Foo... that tired shit is tired.
Oh noes, he's not in charge, he just gets all the flak when things don't go right. Typical.
I am perfectly objective. He is pretty much what I thought he would be. Should I suddenly be happy with him when he has been the horrible president I envisioned?

You could be happy that he's at least predictable?

You are as far from objective as one can get. And no, he has not been the horrible president you're trying to paint him as. You are just as wrong about him now as you were then.

What do we have to show for all the debt he has piled on us?

Here we go again. Not getting back into that conversation. For my answer, just check out the last thread where you made that charge. It will save us both a lot of time.

I would think someone who claims to be an expert in constitutional law would know the difference between running for re-election and running the nation.
The President is doing things in alignment with the constitution, as executive orders are within the President's purview.
As for DREAM, what is it, and why is it so bad?

Congress sets citizenship and immigration policy, not the president.
It is not that bad. It all depends on the details and how it is implemented. I personally feel like any form of amnesty must include securing the border, however.

Unless he makes an executive order.

And they still do, surely. I had a quick google and it seems like DREAM is about an amnesty on deportation for valuable citizens whose parents were breaking the law by entering illegally, which they had no part in deciding. They had to be minors, and they have to be contributing, so it seems like a hugely common-sense approach to immigration. With it being that uncontroversial and straight forward, allowing simple amnesty from deportation for 2 years for those who qualify, it certainly sounds like there is no change in how to be a citizen and thus what legal immigration policies are in place.
I'd have thought that securing the border was a priority every day of the week. It's huge, and there's a lot of cold canadians who want to reach warmer climes.

November can't come fast enough. Kudos to the brave reporter for chirping up and asking how this benefits the citizens of this country.
I read the MSN article that made Obama seem like the hero of the day for ignoring him.

Well, I did say a while back I'd say this every time politics were being discussed. Makes it easy for me.

Don't feel bad, it's not like he contributed much more himself.
