What do people think of this guy? Dick's dear ol' grandson is now 2 for 2 in the flicks I've seen of his, and he is easily the top rung of the Asylum shit heap in their realm of rip-offs in the era of remakes. Paranormal Entity was a complete carbon copy of Activity, no one should have any delusions about that going into it, but I found it moderately enjoyable, was certainly expecting much much worse being it was made by Asylum. Last night I watched A Haunting in Salem, which I assumed was trying to rip-off A Haunting in Connecticut, but that just seems to be in title alone. What I got was a competently made on a shoestring budget haunted house flick. I don't know if Shane is a student of horror films, but he does seem to get it, and runs the gamut of horror tropes the best he can with the material. They are certainly mood movies, if you're looking for something unique and different or polished, you're not looking to his films, but last night I was in the mood for just a simple haunted house flick, and it delivered with the cheap jump scares and engaging enough storyline.

I own Paranormal Entity and I really enjoy it... thought he did really good in the film, his acting was definitely on par!
